"Very happy with this drum. It was custom built to my exact specs and Sam absolutely came through. The whole process was great. We had an ongoing dialogue during the planning and building process, and Sam didn't complain when I asked for slight modifications to the drum. And he suggested some changes to my initial request which ended up working out great. He kept me updated throughout the build process, including pictures at various stages of construction. The drum itself is gorgeous - it looks exactly like I envisioned. The high gloss finish is basically flawless, the shell is clean and round, the bearing edges are true. And, of course, it sounds amazing. It's a thin shell so it's got great sensitivity, but it also has a ton of high-end crack and volume that's common with stave shells. All in all I'm very pleased."
