This species is an excellent tonewood that is often overlooked due to its scarcity in North America. It is a hugely popular species in Europe, mainly due to its abundance. Is a very hard wood, but just slightly softer than the hard maple used in the majority of modern drums. This gives it a more wet, round, fat tone.\u003cbr\u003eÃÂÃÂÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ\u003cbr\u003eWe kept the finish on the snare classy. It has a natural to sleep first high gloss lacquer that allows that oh-so-subtle Beachwood green show through.\u003cbr\u003eÃÂÃÂÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ\u003cbr\u003eÃÂÃÂÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂThe hardware on this drum is simple, clean, and effective. It features black nickel over brass tube lugs, 42 strand snare wires, 2.3 mm triple flanged hoops, a diecast air vent, but plate, and antique silver HHG badge.
