It grows primarily in the Coastal northwestern United States  and is highly sought-after for its unique tone, density, and beautiful grain coloring. This shell is around 1.25\" or 32mm thick, the combo of this shell thickness and this extraordinary tonewood will make for an absolutely fantastic sounding instrument. In our experience California Redwood maple usually makes a snare drum that is very crispy and articulate, with incredible snap and punch- with the warmth and depth you can only get from walnut.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe shell features a beautiful natural smooth satin lacquer on the exterior, and also satin lacquer on the entire interior of the shell. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIf you buy this from today you get to choose what hardware plating will come with it.
