HHG 14x7 Contoured Stave Snare 2020 Twisted Taffy Gloss

On offer is one of our award-winning contoured stave shell snare drums, complete with a mind-blowing proprietary finish we call "Twisted Taffy".

This shell is a 14x7 White Oak wood stave shell. Pennsylvania White Oak has long been one of our favorite timbers for drum building. It is incredibly solid and tough, while remaining very stable over its lifetime. A truly wonderful choice of wood species to use for instrument building. 

Completed in chrome with our signature HHG Single Point lugs, Antique Silver die-cast badging, vintage throw and butt plate, and our custom CNC-machined tone control, this beauty is a spectacular sounding instrument, and also a wonderful conversation piece! Incredibly sensitive, this snare goes from a whisper to a roar, has a wide range of tunings, and a lovely tone that's easy on the ears; thanks to the Puresound Pro snare wires and Evans Drumheads installed.

As with all of our drums and listings shown, when you place an order with HHG Drums, your new instrument will be hand-crafted in house, from scratch. The drum shown in the pictures was built for a customer, and now resides with them.

Please note that the finish on this drum is a lacquer and not a wrap, it is applied with a really unique chemical process. Because of the way it is applied, and the chemicals involved with applying it, it is normal for there to be variations in the color density of the pattern and occasional white spots.
