HHG drums 14x5 Engraved Stainless 2020 Brushed Satin

I've wanted to build this drum for a long time. Simple, sexy, and effective.

I started with a 16 gauge stainless steel shell that I cut, rolled, and welded in house. The edges are a simple full roundover for easy tuning and excellent contsvt with the head.

These thin shells with no beads or formed edges are amazing. They are super responsive, crispy, and clean. They make for really fantastic sounding drums.

The engraving is a classy Damascus pattern and it repeats around the whole drums symmetrically.

The hardware starts with our classy HHG lugs in deep chrome, slightly offset, and finishes up with 2.3mm chrome hoops, a diecast antique silver hhg badge, diecast butt plate, vintage style strainer, internal tone control/muffler with cnc-machined aluminum knob, Evans drum heads top and  bottom, and puresound custom-made snare wires.

I can't explain how great it sounds. Full-bodied, with tons of attack and subtleties. Just an all around top notch drum. I'm incredibly proud of this instrument, and can't wait to build you one!! As with all of our drums and listings shown, when you place an order with HHG Drums, your new instrument will be hand-crafted in house, from scratch. The drum shown in the pictures was built for a customer, and now resides with them.
