HHG drums 14x7 Aluminum Diamond Plate Snare 2017 Distressed Black Satin

HHG drums is very excited to present  the product of tons of R&D and hard work -Rolled and welded aluminum plate snare drums and drum kits, made from scratch, in house.

Working with this aluminium diamond was a huge change from our usual stave and segmented shells, but years of drum building acumen transferred very well  from our preferred medium in wood to this aluminum diamond plate, and the outcome was totally worth the work.

The bearing edges are a silky smooth full baseball bat / roundover to give the drum lots of head to shell contact making for a buttery feeling drum with lots of punch and warmth. Inside and outside of the shell are hand brushed for a classy, subtle, and raw, satin  finish. and it wouldn't be an HHG drum without hand-cut leather washers everywhere the hardware touches the drum shell.

The hardware on this drum is very unique as well. The tube lugs featured on the snare are made from solid raw brass, which is been chemically tarnished to a flat black finish, and then distressed to allow the brass to show through. All of the other Hardware on the drum is a black nickel finish- 2.3mm triple flange hoops, vintage style strainer, die cast butt-plate and air vent, and die cast antique silver HHG badge
