HHG drums 14x7 Aromatic Cedar Contoured Stave snare, Natural to Charcoal Fade

This snare has been in the works for awhile. It's made from aromatic cedar, the same variety used in most quality cedar chests. The particular board used to make this drum was in a friends woodshop, slated to become a chest. I was visiting one day, and saw this board, it had this amazing flame like grain, so managed to talk him into selling it to me. And then I used that single board to make this drum, trying my best to preserve the grain orientation that was in the original board.

It's a 14 X 7 shell, it has oil rubbed bronze hhg signature single point lugs, matching oil rubbed bronze Hoops, black nickel tension rods, and indeed blacknipples strainer, a diecast black nickel buttplate, an internal tone control mechanism with a matching handmade wood knob, all Evans drumheads, and Puresound Custom Pro brass snare wires it also has a special antique brass badge that is reserved for specialty/prototype snares. It sounds better than it looks, super crsip, focused, tons of volume, all while retaining excellent sensitivity and response through all tuning ranges. This could be a real work-horse snare, excellent for studio or live work.
