As a resident of Pennsylvania, red oak trees or something you become familiar with at a very young age. Their distinctive leaf shape, their ability to blank it to the ground with acorns, and they're billowing canopies supported by massive straight trunks.

This drum features the unique and coarse grain patterns found in Red Oak highlighted with a contoured shell to help give the usually straight grain a psychedelic and flowing pattern to it. Then, the shell is treated to our labor intensive high gloss lacquer, with a Natural to Black burst coloring.

While it's a bit of a juxtaposition to the organically flowing qualities of the shell, the hardware is very mechanical and Industrial by Design.

The powder coating on these drums is much more durable than the chrome plating usually found on drum hardware and is capable of taking a beating without chipping, rusting, or pitting.

The drum also features our 42 strand snare drum wires, diecast antique silver HHG badge, 45 degree and roundover hybrid bearing edges, and a liberal coating of our proprietary drum wax/oil on the edges and inside the shell.
