HHG Drums 14x8 Calico Walnut Stave / White Marine Pearl, High Gloss Natural

We wanted to create a drum that was visually striking but sounded like a million bucks. This is what we came up with.

We started with one of our favorite wood species, Calico Walnut. We made a solid stave shell that is about 3/4" of an inch thick. Next week inlaid a beautiful piece of classy White Marine Pearl around the center of the drum. Finally we decked it out with our flawless ultra high gloss lacquer.

You can't beat the warm, round, buttery feel of Walnut. It makes for an absolute back beat machine. Not to mention that we cut our favorite edges on this snare featuring a 45-degree inner cut with a quarter inch radius roundover router cut. This allows tons of energy transfer from the head to the shell to really bring out the tone of the Walnut.

We dressed her up with all gold hardware, featuring low mass Agile single point lugs, 2.3 mm Hoops, diecast butt plate and air vent, a vintage style strainer, an antique brass HHG badge, 42 strand snare wires, and our proprietary internal tone control mechanism with matching Walnut knob.

As with all of our drums and listings shown, when you place an order with HHG Drums, your new instrument will be hand-crafted in house, from scratch. The drum shown in the pictures was built for a customer, and now resides with them.
