HHG Drums Aged Red Gatsby, Red/Gold Paisley Print

We wanted to make a drum that looked like it had survived WW2, but still was classy and eye-catching.

ÃÂÃÂÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂIt starts with a 13 ply cherry wood shell. Then we apply power custom red and gold metallic paisley print to the inside and outside of the drum.

Cherrywood is an ideal species for musical instruments, and it makes for an amazing drum. It is slightly softer than maple and has he beautiful dark and musical voice. It performs very well throughout the full spectrum of tuning ranges from low and guttural, all the way to piccolo high.

The hardware on this drum has been aged to make it look old, but still function flawlessly. It features solid brass tube lugs, vintage style strainer, 42 strand wires, 2.3mm hoops, die cast air vent, die cast butt plate, and a die cast HHG badge. 

This drum was a joy to build and we hope you'll get just as much joy from playing it! As with all of our drums and listings shown, when you place an order with HHG Drums, your new instrument will be hand-crafted in house, from scratch. The drum shown in the pictures was built for a customer, and now resides with them.
