HHG Drums Purpleheart Stave Snare, Satin Oil

Purpleheart can be a bit of an enigma. Sometimes it has deep brown purple color, sometimes it's more lively and vibrant. This snare is a great example of the latter. It has a great fuchsia color and an impressive mottled figuring to the grain.

I kept the finish on this snare very simple because of the natural beauty of the wood- a clean and effective hand-rubbed satin oil.

The Purpleheart is contrasted nicely on this build with the gold hardware. Including die cast hoops, and a DW mag strainer.

When you purchase this drum, I will be building it from scratch for you, this will extend the lead time, but also presents the opportunity to customize the drum further if you're interested.
