HHG Drums What If The Nissan GTR Was A Snare Drum?

The concept here was simple and fun- take the iconic Nissan GTR and turn it into a snare drum. The results were a drum that is not a only gorgeous tribute to the car its based on, but an incredible sounding instrument.

We started with our handmade 3mm solid aluminum shell in a 13x7 size. These shells produce a drum with power, tone, and incredible sensitivity. The edges are full 3mm roundover, which allows for easy tuning and plenty of energy transfer between the head and shell.

The real star of this drum is the finish though. It features a color shift high gloss lacquer that changes color from blue, to purple, and even a hint of metallic orange depending on the lighting. This is one of the most expensive and exclusive paints available,  and is absolutely stunning in any light.

Then we decked ot out with all black nickel hardware featuring our signature CNC-machined single point lugs, heavy duty diecast hoops, diecast vintage style strainer, diecast buttplate, and a diecast air vent. The drum also features puresound custom-pro snare wires, Evans heads, an antique silver diecast HHG badge, and a genuine OEM GTR emblem.

This drum is a fantastic mix of beautiful automotive aesthetics, and top notch musical instrument. We really hope you decide to add one to your arsenal!

As with all of our drums and listings shown, when you place an order with HHG Drums, your new instrument will be hand-crafted in house, from scratch. The drum shown in the pictures was built for a customer, and now resides with them. We would love to build one for you!

One last note, because this drum will be custom built when you order, we can customize it to your specs to a reasonable degree. If you want a different size drum, or different color hardware, just shoot us a message after purchasing and we can accommodate you.
